Winter Storm "Luau"

What a LOOOOONG winter in Indiana! Since they started naming the winter storms, I decided to use a play on that new trend and call my party "Winter Storm Luau!" What fun! Family and friends, good food, and good music; a perfect recipe to beat those winter blues! I hung the flip flop lights from our camper, and the grandkids and I made a bunch of other decorations.

In the above picture, you can see the cute guitars (we pretended they were ukuleles) and the parrots on the top of the windows. These were from a file called "Luau" from SVG Attic.

Group/family picture here. The colonnade was decorated with paper lanterns from the same file.

Close up of the cute parrot. Actually, the grandkids put these together! They are quite good at making things from my ZING. This parrot was enlarged to make it as big as we could on a 12 x 12 paper.

The kitchen baker's rack was transformed into a Tiki Bar, using the same guitar file
for the ends of the sign.

Another view of the paper lanterns and leaves. Oh, and Jazzie had to be in the picture, too!

Proud Grandmother

Four fabulous grandkids and Swarovski crystals make for a beautiful Grandmother's bracelet.

The birthstones are July, March, March, and March. The last two are twins!

Because all of my grandkids belong to my daughter, her Mother's bracelet is exactly the same! And her mother-in-law has these four, plus two more, so her bracelet (in the middle) has the two additional grandkids added to it.

I love the sparkle of the Swarovski crystals, and I'm a proud grandma! Thanks for looking!

Nutcracker

Here is a cute nutcracker stand-up card that I made for my boss. When I went to Germany last year, he wanted me to bring back a Nutcracker for him. I wasn't able to find one, so I made a paper one instead! This guy is about 5 inches tall and is cute as can be!

Beautiful Music

A lovely piano file from the wonderful folks at SVGCuts!

The sweet lady who teaches piano to my twin granddaughters was celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary, so the girls and I spent an evening making this for Beverly and her husband.

The paper pack is from Michaels. Thanks for looking!

Vintage and Lovely!

This winter has been dragging on and on! Will spring ever get here? This sentiment from Stampin' Up lets us know that we can have hope in the spring, even when it's gone! I used a fabulous set from SVGCuts to make this vintage-looking typewriter, and the paper pack was Haberdashery by the Paper Studio.

Trains!

All aboard the Candy Train! This was so fun to make with the grandkids! The svg came from MyScrapChick, and the paper was DCWV Sweet Stack. This set was donated to Chase Center Nursing Facility where my brother is livng.

Both of these sets were made for baby showers for little boys! They turned out so cute!

AmaZING!

These are my first projects with my new Zing! I've never owned an electronic cutter before, and it really is amaZING! I love being able to use any .svg file and create my paper goodies! My first day with it I made 8 of these cute Stuffed Stockings and 2 of the Card/Gift Box combo packages (adjusting the sizes for different gifts) in about 6 hours. I love it! I spent about 9 years doing AutoCAD drafting, so that experience shortened the learning curve somewhat, I guess. I just know I was looking forward to this purchase for a LONG time! I look forward to blogging many of my new projects, and I can't wait to start designing my own projects! Faves will be 3D projects and scrapbook page embellies! Thanks for looking!
