Blast From the Past

Well, I haven't posted for a while, so I thought I would show you something from the past. This is the transom to my back door that I painted with Gallery Glass paints. You can tell it was my first time trying it, but I'm satisfied enough with the end result to leave it up all these years!

Thanks for looking!

Wedding Card

Here is a card that I made for a wedding. I used Spellbinders Label 11 for the shape, Stampin' Up stamp, and set the stones with my I-Rock. It is simple, but pretty! Thanks for looking.

Thinking of You card

This is a card that I made for a dear friend who was going through a difficult time. I used a WaltzingMouse stamp which coordinated with a Spellbinders Label die, and some pretty Ribbon Boutique ribbon from Hobby Lobby. Thanks for looking!

Thank You Card

This is a Thank You card I made for a friend. It uses a Cuttlebug embossing folder, Stampin' Up stamp and punch for the thank you, and ODBD stamp for the background. I don't know the manufacturer of the ribbon. Thanks for looking!

Tag Book

We made booklets from coin envelopes for our ladies group at church.
This is the one I made for myself.

Each envelope holds a two-sided tag that tells us when our next meeting is and what we are doing. Next year we won't need to create the book again, just the tags! The inside paper was Butcher Block, the outside paper was Close to my Heart, the twill ribbon was Stampin' Up, and the ink was Ranger Distress ink.

19 Scrapbooks

These scrapbooks are: 1 & 2 - Joanna memory albums, 3 & 4 - twins, 5 - Chuck's music career, 6 - twins again!, 7 & 8 - DeFord family albums years 2003 and 2004.

These albums are: 1 - Alabama trip, 2 & 3 - cruises, 4 - Kelly's wedding, 5 (it's hidden beside the blue one) Florida trip, 6 - Chuck's 50th birthday party, 7 & 8 - more of twins, 9 - Exchange students album, 10 & 11 - Fishing trip albums, and 12 - Kelly birth through age 4 (12 x 15 album). I know this looks like a lot of albums, but they don't even make a dent in all of the pictures that I still have to scrapbook. The twins are almost 8, and I am only up to age 4 on their scrapbooks! I have another cruise, another fishing trip, my wedding album to redo, and my 50th birthday to scrap, also!

New Crafting Space

This was taken while most of the stuff was in the other room.
4 bookshelves and an old computer desk.

Oh, it's starting to fill up! Now I have to get it organized.

Got some shelves put up for my dies and some other stuff. Under the computer desk are three rolling carts of 12 x 12 paper, and in the drawer space is a large paper trimmer and my Scor-pal.

There is a 6-foot table that is pushed up against the wall in front of the computer desk, creating a U-shaped work area for me, with everything in arm's reach. I'm so spoiled! There is still a ton of stuff that won't fit into this smaller room, and I still have to organize what is here. But I have my essentials, so I can still get something accomplished!

Baby Shower Card

Here is a baby shower card that I made. The inside finishes the saying with "That bless our lives the most". The design on the front is part of the paper. It's from Dolphin Enterprises. The sentiment is Angel Company, the border punch is Stampin' Up.

Teddy Bear Nativity

This is the Teddy Bear Nativity set that Chuck and I made for a friend for Christmas. It was the first one that we had made from start to finish. I purchased the molds from E-bay, we poured them, cleaned them, fired them, and painted them. It was also the first time we had antiqued a whole set of something. We learned a lot by doing it, and I think they turned out SOOOO cute. We will definitely be making more!

Blog Hop Prizes

Here are the prizes that I received from the Spellbinders Holiday Hoppin' Blog Hop. In this close-up, you can see the items from Heartfelt Creations, adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives, stamps and paper from Donna Salazar, some of the Cosmo Cricket items, paper and sticker kits from Fancy Pants, and the tote full of Post-It items from 3M.

Here is the Grand Calibur machine from Spellbinders (also a Grand Nestibilities set) and the Xyron Creatopia machine, with some of the awesome items from Creative Impressions in front.

These are the awesome ribbons from Creative Impressions, the 5 bottles of Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest, 3 sets of scrapbooking paper with stickers from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker, one of the stickers sets from Graphic 45, a stamp set from StampinScrappin, a stamp set from Sparkle and Sprinkle, and some of the items from Flourishes.

This pictures shows almost everything!

I received two stamp sets from Gina K Designs after I took this picture. The two stamps sets from Waltzing Mouse Stamps are in the mail from UK, and I haven't heard anything from Just Rite. But I'm thrilled with these items and I can't wait to use them!
Edit on 3/8/11 - I received the items from Waltzing Mouse Stamps and Just Rite after the last post. All of the items are wonderful and I'm still thrilled with them!

Crafting Space

I had always told my friends that if I added anything else to my craft room, it would explode. Well, after I carried all of my "Loot" (the winnings from the Spellbinders Blog Hop) upstairs and put some of it away, one of my bookshelves collapsed! (Really, it was just the next-to-bottom shelf on the left side, but everything fell off!) This is what the room looked like before that!

I am in the process of moving out of this room into a smaller room (YIKES!) but thought I would post pictures of the bookshelves my hubby modified to hold my stamps. He just cut an old piece of paneling and secured it to two small wedges so that I can just leaf through the stamp sets and they don't fall out from the front. It's really handy!

I will be keeping these bookshelves, but I will be changing my paper storage from 3 horizontal rolling racks to something vertical. I've been checking online for some ideas, but haven't found anything yet! We've got some work to do in the smaller room, so I have a little time to keep looking.
