Lovely Little Flip Book

Hi there! Today I'm bringing you a lovely little tag flip book using beautiful Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest Creative! I purchased this printable file from an online store, but you could certainly make this from any double-sided patterned paper and tag dies or templates, or just cut shapes by hand and punch a hole in the top! I used this one because of the multi layered butterfly and flower. It's a great project to use whatever you've got!

I chose the Pink Dew Drops because they matched the colors in the paper. I inked the edges of each layer of the flower, then slightly curled each petal with an embossing tool. You can use a skewer or end of a paint brush, or anything you have on hand!

I added a Dew Drop using the dew dew glue dots!

I inked the edges of the butterfly layers and layered them. Here I chose the xxx Dew Drops.

I used the Dew Drops to form the body of the butterfly. I used layers of tags, etc, and inked the edges to give it dimension.

The inked flower layers with the Dew Drop center is soooo cute!

And that layered butterfly!

Here's the front of the completed tag book! I thought about using a large key ring, but decided to use some Sari Silk ribbon to give added texture.

And here's the back of the tag book!

Embossed Key Chain

Hi! Debb here, with my first post for The Robin's Nest Creative! Today I made for you an awesome key chain using a few supplies and the amazing Dew Drops by The Robin’s Nest.

I started with a package of wooden key tags and used a 3D Leather-look embossing folder. I also had some foundry wax on hand to give the “leather” some color and shine.

I embossed plain gray paper to use on the keychain.

I applied a thin layer of glue and put the embossed paper on it. I then gently trimmed the paper off around the wooden shape. I used a hole punch tool to punch out the hole at the top of the tag. I then repeated the process for the other side.

I lightly applied a coat of Foundry Wax to bring out the texture of the leather embossing.

Now the fun part… deciding which Dew Drops to use! I chose the Dark Vanilla Dew Drops.

Using the dew dew glue, I applied one dot at each intersection, then applied the dew drops.

And here’s the finished “leather” look key chain! What a fun project, and so easy with just a few supplies and Dew Drops! Thanks for joining me today!

It's Been a While!

It's been a while since my last blog post! I have been out of the blogging world for a few years now, but I've never stopped creating. I have been learning stained glass and a mosaic wood art process called intarsia. I've also started putting wood and glass together for a mixed media type of art! I'm kinda crazy about trying some driftwood projects, too!
I've also been making lots and lots of cards, and I'm still doing 3D projects that I cut out with my electronic cutter.

But I had a special wedding to attend today. The youngest son of some very dear friends got married today, and just like his two brothers before him, he and his beautiful bride received a personalized gift.

I used a monogram file from Design Bundles and added the bride and groom's names in vinyl, then added some beautiful Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest for that extra bit of elegance.

It's great to be back, and in my next post I'll share some exciting news! Happy crafting, friends, and thanks for stopping by today!

Baby, It's Cold Outside

It's not in the 90s this week, but at least we don't have sub-zero weather like we did a few years ago! Our exchange student, Eren, had never (and probably never will again!) experienced such cold weather! We had her throw the boiling water to make "snow", and she tried blowing bubbles, too! We couldn't stay outside for very long, though!

I made this layout using the Baby It's Cold Outside Card  from My Scrap Chick.

Aloha

I'm so far behind on getting my scrapbooking done. Here's a beautiful sunrise from our
Hawaii trip! I have used the Aloha Card and the Hawaiian Shirt Card  from My Scrap Chick
to finish this 12 x 12 page for my scrapbook! Both of the files were reduced
 to use on this page.

Thanks for stopping by today! Social distance hugs to you!

Journey

I am not one to get rid of stamps and paper that has been discontinued, no matter the manufacturer. I know some crafters who keep current on all their supplies and anything discontinued gets thrown out. Not me! With that said, this great stamp set from Heartfelt Creations is discontinued, but it made a great guy card!

This was colored with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, and cut out with the matching die set. I've been away from the challenge scene for awhile. This is my first time back! I have entered this in the following challenges:

PINspirational Challenges

Christmas in July!

Hi, friends! It's Christmas in July over at My Scrap Chick, and I have a couple projects that I'm excited about! I made the Full Cup Treat Holders with Christmas paper and glitter paper, and of course, I had to fill them with M & Ms! These are so cute for any occasion during the year!

The next project was the Rudolf Paver Favor, and this cutie can be created quickly, too! There is a huge selection of these paver-shaped boxes, so you can make one for almost any occasion  throughout the year.

I hope you've enjoyed my Christmas in July projects. I was able to play my favorite Christmas music while I worked on these, and enjoyed every minute! It's not too early to start planning your projects. The supplies are already filling up the craft stores.
Take care and thanks for stopping by!

Put on a Happy Face!

Aren't these the cutest? These were made to give to residents at a nursing facility by a pre-teen who likes to go visit her "peeps". She's a great kid and likes to make other people smile, and these sure fit the bill!

These were made from the LOL Emoji, the Smiley Emoji, and the Cool Emoji Party Boxes from My Scrap Chick. Super simple and super fun to make and give away! Try making a few (or a dozen) today!

Vintage Card

Hello friends! It's been a long and busy winter, and I think spring is finally here. I've had some time to create a few items, so let me show you this awesome Vintage Card with Oval Frame from My Scrap Chick!

The front of the card is dimensional, and the top of the front is left open to create the "frame"! So I stamped a sentiment in the opening, and the person receiving it can use it for a photo frame. I love things that can be functional and pretty at the same time!

Stop back by in a few days and see what my next project is! Thanks for looking!

Spring Hop!

Hi all! We're having the most fun with a FaceBook Hop for My Scrap Chick! Head on over to their FaceBook page and start enjoying the fun and the chance to win prizes on every page! Here's the project I made...

I have made a Spring Card using the Birds and Garden Gate Easel Card, only I put it on a square card base instead. Then I used the Cherry Blossoms and Cherry Blossoms Branch from the Japanese Flower Girls file. I then made an envelope using the

Spring Fun

This cute bracelet will be so much fun for little Miss Ava to wear on Easter! It's made from the Cookie Stencil Starters from My Scrap Chick!

I printed each one out onto inkjet shrink film, then colored them, added a hole for hanging, and shrunk them for this bracelet. Easy and fast! Thanks for stopping by today!

"Spring" Flowers

Yes, I know a sunflower is not a spring flower, but these are on springs, so it counts, right? I used the Sunflower Greetings file from My Scrap Chick. The "seeds" of the sunflowers are micro beads. I just put them on the old springs and added the homespun ties. Look how cute they are!

All Things Are Possible

I love this. I love the wood-grain charger plate, and I love the sentiment. It has a much more personal meaning to me right now. This sentiment came from My Scrap Chick, and it's called, appropriately, With God All Things Are Possible Wordart. Then I used the Stacking Circles Frame to put on the outside edge of the plate.

Easter Blessings

Easter blessings to you! Today I have a card that features Sympathy Word Art from My Scrap Chick. Even though this is a cut file, I couldn't wait to try printing this beautiful flourished word on my laser printer and foiling it with my Minc machine! It makes a great focal for a card front! I also used Card 12 from Card Essentials Volume 2 for the base and background of the card, using my Word Art instead of the heart shape.

A quick ribbon and a bit of bling, and this card is complete! These are quick and versatile, so be sure and add these files to your collection! Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Candy!

Oh, the colors of spring! And oh, the colors of candy that we can get in the spring! Today is my post for My Scrap Chick, and I used the Botanical Roses and the Doodle Leaves files to create the flowers, and used these cute spring candies as the centers!

These are so cute and so easy. I hope you'll try some today! Thanks for stopping by!
